Discover Veneto, Where Serenity meets Fine Wine
Embark on an extraordinary journey through Veneto, where centuries-old winemaking traditions merge seamlessly with innovative techniques. Located in northeastern Italy—nestled between the majestic Alps and the shimmering Adriatic Sea—Veneto is home to enchanting cities such as Venice, Verona, and Padua, each steeped in art, culture, and history. While travelers are captivated by its iconic canals and romantic architecture, the region’s diverse landscapes reveal a hidden world of vineyards and winemaking treasures.
Veneto is celebrated for its dazzling array of wines. From the sparkling elegance of Prosecco: crafted from the native Glera grape in the rolling hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, to the robust, full-bodied Amarone della Valpolicella made from partially dried Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, every sip captures the essence of its terroir. The region is also renowned for the refined whites of Soave, predominantly produced from Garganega, and the fruity charm of Bardolino reds.
Boasting 14 DOCGs, 29 DOCs, and 10 IGTs, Veneto produces over 11.9 million hectoliters of wine annually across nearly 97,500 hectares of vineyards—with white wines representing the lion’s share of production. The principal grape varieties include Glera, Garganega, Merlot, Corvina, and Pinot Grigio, each contributing to a portfolio that ranges from fresh, crisp spritzers to deep, concentrated reds.
This exclusive tour invites you to explore Veneto’s multifaceted landscapes—from the sun-drenched Prosecco hills and the historic vineyards of Valpolicella to the charming, coastal outskirts near Venice. Experience Veneto’s finest wines, breathtaking scenery, and rich cultural heritage, where every glass tells a story of tradition, innovation, and the very soul of the land.

1
The Plains
The Venetian lagoon, the valleys of Treviso and the plains drenched by the Piave River produce the fresh, festive and fabulous Prosecco, made with local Glera grapes.
2
The Hills
The southern slopes of the Alps, the area around Lake Garda and the city of Verona yield grapes such as Garganega, whence the lovely Soave white wines, and the almost black Corvina and Rondinella grapes, amongst others, which produce one of the greatest red wines, the Amarone, as well as Bardolino.

Il Dolce Vino's Wine Tours
It is impossible to speak of Italy in anything less than glowing terms. The boot-shaped peninsula bound by the Alps in the north, the Mediterranean Sea hugging its coasts, mountains and rolling hills through much of its landscape, is geographically divided into twenty regions, each a veritable treasure trove of natural beauty, stunning architecture, and centuries, if not millennia, of history.
With over 500 varietals, Italy is the country with the most indigenous grapevines in the world. The 20 regions not only produce several wines, but each region also boasts grape varietals not found anywhere else, making each uncorked bottle a rare and singular experience.
Il Dolce Vino thus proposes a fragrant bouquet of wine tours to different regions. From the alpine slopes of Piemonte (literally foot of the mountain) and Veneto through world-famous Tuscany, to the volcanic soils of Campania, Basilicata and Sicily, and a dozen regions in-between, our wine tours celebrate the best of Italy, which in many cases (pun unintended), constitute the best grapes and wines on the planet.
